More dashboards do not lead to better decisions. A few trusted numbers do.
Trust comes first
Before reading any report, check how the numbers are collected. A broken event or a missing source quietly changes the story. An analytics and tracking review is often the most useful first step.
Follow the funnel
Looking at channels alone hides where people actually leave. Following them from first visit to enquiry shows where a small fix could matter most, and where more budget would only fill a leak.
Accept honest answers
In a well-run test, a change can improve a number and still miss its goal. That result is useful. Agree on the success criteria up front and it becomes clear what to keep, what to change and what to stop.
